The 2018 Atlantic City Airshow, also known as "Thunder Over the Boardwalk," returns to the Jersey Shore casino town for its 16th year on Wednesday, bringing a day-long lineup of dazzling displays sure to turn heads. Dozens of aircraft will soar over the beach and boardwalk in breathtaking routines. Large crowds — some 400,000 revelers have attended the event in years past — are expected, too.
This show is big and there's hardly a place in Atlantic City along the beach that won't give you a great view of the planes screaming overhead. The beaches and boardwalk are likely to be jam-packed with people. You'll also likely catch a great view of the planes starting and finishing air show runs in the neighboring beach towns - Brigantine to the north, and Margate and Ventnor to the South. But the center of attention is definitely Atlantic City for portions of the show that include skydiving by the Golden Knights.
